YEAR 5 FINAL TRIALS (next season’s year 6 squad)

The following players have made it into the squad for Felling Gateshead East Schools Town Team.

As with the initial trial stages the standard was extremely high and we would like to thank everyone that turned up together with the teachers who took the time to do the nominations.

We’ve looked at the players over a number of sessions in various playing contexts on different surfaces.

It became clear early on that this age group has a high amount of extremely talented footballers and the decision was not going to be an easy one.

Therefore we have decided to pick the squad of 16 who will play in the matches as well as picking a small training group who will be given excellent coaching hopefully to take them to the standard of the squad. These players will then be available if we lose players to injury or if players need to reduce the amount of football played.
