Year 5 Development Squad 2007/08

The trials for the squad were recently held and twenty four children made up the squad.

The squad has had a couple of training sessions and will be soon taking part in other activities such as teambuilding days.

24^th April

Session was held on the astro pitch at Gateshead Stadium. Focus was put on close ball skils and passing in the exercises and one group did some shooting. A 10v10 match was tried for 15 minutes to see how the players could cope having played so much small sided football.

18^th April

An indoor session was held at Gateshead Leisure Centre. Close control and turning with the ball together with other ball skills were worked upon. The session finished with five-a-side.
